David Harris

David Harris

Clinical Director and Physiotherapist

David is highly qualified in manipulative therapy, sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation. David has been a local in the West End for over 10 years and actively working as a Physiotherapist for over 15 years. He was trained in New Zealand and has experience working with elite athletes assessing them for muscular imbalances. He has worked for professional sports teams and been part of the New Zealand Health team for the Olympics and Commonwealth games. David has a strong reputation working in central London and works closely with Orthopaedic surgeons and GP’s in the area as well as strength and conditioning trainers which is what brought Oxford Circus Physiotherapy to fruition. David lectures part time and mentors PGd students. He specialises in spinal pain, sporting injuries, muscular imbalance and exercise prescription.

Zoe Jessop
Zoe Jessop

Physiotherapist

Since qualifying Zoe has worked in the UK and New Zealand in an NHS setting and in private practice treating sports related and work place injuries. She has trained and worked in clinical Pilates and rehabilitation, and worked with rugby clubs. She has also worked in film and the performing arts with dancers, and has taught ante-and post natal exercise classes. Zoe has a special interest in sports rehabilitation and the prevention of injury, work place injuries and pre and post natal conditioning of the core.

Nikaela Gilmer
Nikaela Gilmer

Physiotherapist

Nikaela trained in New Zealand gaining a Degree in Physiotherapy. Since then she has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Manual therapy and Advanced Dry Needling Qualifications. Nikaela has experience working with a wide range of people post-operatively, in sporting rehabilitation and work place injuries. In New Zealand she worked closely with High performance athletes including Rugby, Football, Netball and Triathlon. Her interests lie in musculoskeletal physiotherapy where she prefers a hands-on approach.

Iwona Wowak
Iwona Wowak

Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist

Iwona is qualified as a Level 5 BITEC in Sports and Remedial Massage from the London School of Sports Massage. After 10 years in sport (athletics and volleyball) at a competitive level Iwona turned her attention to massage therapy. Iwona graduated from The Academy of Physical Education and has been a qualified massage therapist since 2004. Iwona works closely with the Oxford Circus Physiotherapy team so that her clients can attain their health and sporting goals. She specialises in Sports Massage, deep tissue and Swedish massage. Her aim is to provide a professional service, individually tailored to make sure all patients will achieve their optimum recovery as soon as possible.

Rebecca Armstrong
Rebecca Armstrong

Physiotherapist

Rebecca is a New Zealand trained Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She qualified with a BHSc (Physiotherapy) from Auckland University of Technology. Her passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy saw her working in a high performance sports clinic in New Zealand previously. Rebecca is trained in clinical Pilates and has a special interest in sports injuries with a focus on improving biomechanics and movement efficiency. She is a multi-sport and track athlete herself so enjoys working with runners and adventure sport type athlete’s. Her passion for sport and biomechanics has lead her to take on a multidimensional approach to rehabilitation.

Alice Barford
Alice Barford

Physiotherapist

Alice has spent a season in a ski resort in the French Alps. She has experience in treating acute sporting injuries as well as helping with management of longer term conditions and back pain. Alice is trained in clinical Pilates and utilises these skills to treat spinal conditions and building core stability for the treatment and prevention of injury. Alice has further training in spinal manipulation and utilises different manual techniques to aid in the recovery of her patients. She has interest in a wide range of conditions from sporting injuries to low back pain, whiplash and neck injuries.

Louisa Bennett
Louisa Bennett

Physiotherapist

Since graduating as a Physiotherapist at the University of the West of England in Bristol, Louisa has worked in various private practices in London, treating an array of conditions such as post-operative, sports injuries and work place injuries. She specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is experienced in assessing and treating spinal and peripheral joint conditions, rehabilitating clients to their full ability. Louisa is also trained in acupuncture, clinical Pilates, and work station assessments, which she utilizes in her treatment to cure and prevent future injuries. She enjoys to work closely with her clients to help them achieve their goals and sharing their success.

She is able to answer all of your questions regarding the process of booking appointments and what type of appointment is right for you. Daniel Boullé
Daniel Boullé

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Daniel has ten years experience in the health, fitness and sports performance industry and is a highly experienced and qualified coach. Dan also offers Intermittent Hypoxic Training a new innovative technique of breathing short bursts of “alpine-like” air through a mask, alternated with room or “ambient” air. This can also be utilised by those travelling to altitude and wishing to prepare for their trip. Furthermore IHT has a purported effect on fat loss and sports performance.

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Alex is the director of education for Performance Pro our Strength & Conditioning partners. He specialises in coaching correct Olympic lifting technique and programming for troublesome injuries. Alex's qualifications are as follows: BSc – Strength & Conditioning Science (First Class Hons), UKSCA – Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach, NSCA – Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Level 2 – British Weightlifting Coach, Poliquin Level 2 certified.

Matt Grove
Matt Grove

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Matt has six years experience within the health and fitness industry. He has a Bachelor (Hons) in Sport and Exercise studies and has previously competed in Premiership and Championship Rugby. Matt is an accredited strength and conditioning coach through NSCA and UKSCA. Matt is currently studying MSc Strength and Conditioning Science at St Marys University and specialises in Olympic lifting, strength training, nutritional planning and weight management.

Anthony Purcell
Anthony Purcell

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Anthony has worked within the health and fitness industry as a Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and as a manager of a major chain sports club. As PerformancePro’s elite cycle and triathlon coach he has prepared enthusiastic amateurs and elite athletes for competition. In addition, Anthony currently races on the British domestic scene and has also completed both the Etape du Tour (Amateur stage of the Tour de France) and La Marmotte cyclo sportive (Ranked as the hardest race in the French Alps).
